What do you know about geisha?

I have been working as a part-time geisha for about half a year in Hachioji.

On weekdays, I'm working at a small web company in the sales and marketing department.
However I have decided to quit my day job and become a full-time geisha in order to improve my skills as a geisha.

So this blog is my first blog detailing my geisha life.

Actually I'm sad that few people know well about a geisha's job and her real day to day life.
Some people who watched the famous movie "Sayuri" have a distorted image of geisha.

Even though Japanese confuse the difference between "Geiko" in Kyoto and "geisha" in Tokyo.
Some of them don't even about that in Tokyo there are some "Kagai" which is the area's name in which geisha are working.

In addition, I will never forget the surprising question that my foreign friend asked me once.
He asked me whether some geisha are prostituting themselves.
I was very shocked when I heard his question.

So I was thinking that someday I should explain in detail about a geisha's job and real life style to everyone, especially foreigners.
